EID al-Fitr is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.

During the month of Ramadan, Muslims observe a strict fast and participate is pious activities such as charitable giving and peace-making. It is a time of intense spiritual renewal for those who observe it.

At the end of Ramadan, Muslims throughout the world observe a joyous three-day celebration called Eid al-Fitr (the Festival of Fast-Breaking).

That is no different here in Scotland, where many Muslims have made their homes over many generations.

It is Glasgow Afghan United’s honour to host Eid festivities for our diverse communities in Glasgow.
