Glasgow Afghan United works with a range of partners to deliver lifeline support and assistance to people here in Glasgow.
Over the years, we’ve been fortunate to build up strong relationships with our members and the agencies that support our work.
We’re grateful to each and every one of them.
We value their support all year round, but during Ramadan, the value of giving – monetary and otherwise – is at the forefront of our minds.
And so we wanted to take a moment to express a public note of thanks to the fantastic organisations who have joined our mission to encourage and to achieve unity, equality, peace and diversity and build strong, sustainable and healthy communities.
They include the Big Lottery Fund, NG Homes, Glasgow City Council and the Scottish Football Association.
We have also been privileged to work with the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO), the Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association and the Scottish Refugee Council.
The Sports Council for Glasgow, Glasgow Sport, Glasgow Life and Foundation Scotland have also worked with us, as has the Scottish Asylum and Refugee Forum, Police Scotland, Mears and the Corra Foundation.
All are respected experts in their fields and we are honoured to count them as supporters and partners as we continue to use education, sport and culture to support men, women and children from Afghan and other ethnic minority backgrounds to integrate and thrive in Glasgow.
We are excited to see what the future holds for us all – we’re sure it will be bright.
