Glasgow Afghan United: Supporting communities in Glasgow since 2004
A safe space to learn and connect – we offer an English cafe, health & fitness club, asylum & immigration support and skills classes just for women
GLASGOW Afghan United (GAU) was founded in 2004 to promote the values of unity, equality, peace and diversity in Scotland by supporting the Afghan community and other diverse ethnic minority groups.
We believe everyone should have the chance to achieve their potential, regardless of their background.
It’s our mission to connect people, build stronger communities and better lives through cultural celebrations, social events and activities.
We work to support the full participation of New Scots in all aspects of civil society.
"Glasgow Afghan United has made a significant impact on people’s lives by promoting sport, health, and active citizenship"
