Who We Are

Glasgow Afghan United works across Scotland to empower, uplift, and inspire. We connect people and organisations, supporting integration, education, culture and employability.

What We Do

Our programmes and activities are free, multilingual and culturally sensitive. They are also driven and informed by the needs and wishes of members and designed to make an impact.

GAU is a registered charity with a board of trustees. We collaborate with funders and partners to deliver focused, cost-effective and accessible projects to build a stronger Scotland for all.

Our comprehensive range of services

Women’s Empowerment Project

We know that by lifting women up, whole families are lifted. Since 2018 this project has provided a safe space and platform for women from Afghan and other ethnic minority platforms and helped with access to education, employment, leisure, advice and other support.

G20 Cycling Project & Bike Library

We're pleased to announce that our G20 Bike Library will re-open on TUESDAY 5 MAY (3 - 5pm). From then on, our regular opening times will be Tuesdays 3-5pm and Saturdays 10am-12noon
